The 48×40, plus plenty of other footprints
The 48×40 GMAis North America's default pallet and the bulk of what we move — it's the most available, most standardized, and most economical recycled unit you can buy. But the reclaimed stream brings us far more than one size.
Depending on the week, our yard also carries reclaimed pallets in footprints like 42×42 (drum and chemical loads), 48×48 (drums, IBC totes), 48×45 (automotive), 44×44 (beverage), and various 36×36 and euro-style 48×32platforms. What “inspected and repaired” actually means
Every recycled pallet that leaves the yard clears the same condition checklist. If it can't be brought to standard economically, it's dismantled and its wood is recycled instead — nothing broken gets resold.
- No broken or split stringers in the load path; cracked units are repaired or plugged.
- Full, fastened deck boards — missing or loose boards are replaced and re-nailed.
- No protruding nails or lead-board hazards that snag forks or product.
- Clean and dry — no visible mold, chemical staining, or contamination.
- Graded honestly so an “A” really is an A when it hits your dock.

How much do recycled pallets cost in Tucson?
A recycled 48×40 GMA pallet typically runs about $6–$12 each depending on grade, with Grade A at the top of that range and Grade C at the bottom. Odd sizes and heavier-duty units vary. These are illustrative figures — request a quote for exact pricing based on your grade, size and quantity.
What's the difference between Grade A, B and C?
Grade A pallets are near-new: clean, structurally sound, with minimal repair and consistent appearance. Grade B has more visible wear and may include repaired boards but is fully serviceable. Are recycled pallets strong enough for my load?
For the vast majority of domestic freight, yes. A sound recycled 48×40 GMA is rated for roughly 2,500 lb of dynamic (moving) load and far more static. We grade for structure, not just looks, so a repaired pallet still meets its rating. Tell us your load weight and we'll match you to the right grade.
Do you offer volume discounts?

Can recycled pallets be used for export?
Only if they carry a valid ISPM-15 heat-treatment stamp. Many recycled GMA pallets do, but not all — if you're shipping internationally, ask us to pull heat-treated stock or build to spec. See our heat treatment guide for the rules.
Where do your recycled pallets come from?
From the loop we run ourselves: pallets we buy, retrieve and haul from Tucson-area warehouses, distributors and manufacturers. They're inspected, repaired where needed, and graded before resale — that's the circular model that keeps prices low and timber out of the landfill.

Why two used pallets aren't the same price
“Recycled” isn't one number. Five factors decide where a unit lands in the range — knowing them helps you ask for exactly what you need on your quote.
- Grade — the biggest lever; A commands the top of the range, C the bottom.
- Size — the standard 48×40 is cheapest because it's most available; odd footprints cost more.
- Quantity — per-unit price steps down by the pallet-load and again by the truckload.
- Repair level — a fully-rebuilt heavy-duty unit costs more than a lightly-used one.
- Treatment — a valid ISPM-15 HT stamp for export can carry a premium over untreated stock.

Buying used pallets: the details
How do I know a recycled pallet isn't going to fail mid-shipment?
Because it's graded on structure, not appearance. Before resale, every unit is checked for split stringers, missing or loose deck boards, protruding nails and contamination — anything that can't be repaired to standard is pulled and recycled, not sold. A sound repaired 48×40 still meets its dynamic rating, so a Grade B with a replaced board is every bit as trustworthy as it looks.
Can I return or exchange recycled pallets that don't fit my need?
Tell us the load and we'll get the grade right the first time, which avoids the problem entirely. If a batch doesn't match what was quoted, contact us and we'll make it right — and remember we also buy back empties, so unused sound pallets have resale value through our buy-back program rather than becoming a sunk cost.
What condition should I expect from a ‘used’ pallet cosmetically?
It varies by grade. Grade A looks close to new — clean, uniform, minimal repair. Grade B shows honest wear and may have replaced boards but is fully serviceable. Grade C (utility) carries heavier cosmetic wear and is priced for function over looks. If appearance matters for a retail-facing load, ask for A stock; if you just need to move freight, B or C saves money.
Do you stock recycled pallets year-round, or is it seasonal?
Recycled stock flows continuously because we run the loop ourselves — buying, retrieving and hauling empties from Tucson-area warehouses week in, week out. That said, specific sizes and grades rotate, and demand peaks (like the holiday shipping run-up) tighten supply.
